about

English

The first thing to note is that this is a brave record. Brave because, although it travels the paths of post-rock and indie, so manhandled and emptied of content, it does so with an explorer's eagerness that restores meaning to those labels and avoids conventionalisms. Grande Days plays at the limit of genres, rhythms, noise and melodies. They take risks and does so with exquisite taste.

Without eccentricities or free resources. Not in vain have they turned to Xabier Erkizia for the production, who has become another member for the occasion and has used his skill to twist the sounds and squeeze them out of the unexpected. This is an album where one feels the pleasure of getting lost, not because it sounds strident or strange, but because it moves away from the obvious and deconstructs the territory to explore new possibilities. This is not an exercise in style, and no matter how much there are no self-imposed concessions or limitations, the wide range of sounds converge in a coherent way. The result is the absorbent environment that surrounds the disc, ideal for self-absorption.
